Vivo City
Vivo City is one of the newest and largest Singapore shopping mall. It has 102,000 m2 of retail space and home to many fashion, electronic shop, bookstore and hyper supermarket. It also has a train station that link to Sentosa.
A few notable tenants worth mention here.
- National Geographic - This is a concept store that opens in 2008. The things are not too cheap but are worth to browse around. Try out the air-con cooler fitting room and it is quite cool.
- Giant Supermarket - It occupied 2 floor with a travelator between them. The things in here are reasonable.
- Borders - A bookstore located next to Giant. It offers quite a wide range of magazines in here. A nice place where you can spend almost the whole afternoon there.
- Sky Park and Play Court - A big playground for the children. Usually it is crowed with parents and kids on weekend. Go there during evening to avoid the hot and sunny afternoon.
The Heeren
The Heeren Shops is a choice mall of lifestyle shops with unique product offerings targeting shoppers in their 20s and above. It has a reputation for cutting edge styles for the young and trendy working adult and anyone, regardless of age, who has a zest for life and individuality.
This Singapore Shopping Mall is constantly abuzz with activity and shoppers looking to unusual merchandise and exciting promotions. HMV, the largest music superstore in Southeast Asia, is the anchor tenant is a crowd puller. Thai, Korean, Japanese and American style restaurants can be find at level 5.
Far East Plaza
Far East Plaza is one of the earliest Singapore Shopping Mall residing in Orchard Road. Recently, they had called themselves The LevelOne @ Far East Plaza. There are many small stores that owns by young entrepreneurs for the young crowd. Lots of shoes, streetwear, trendy clothing for the young ones. Tired of shopping, proceed to the fourth floor for the Hanianese Chicken Rice.
Funan Centre
Funan is also know as Funan IT Mall, is the place to go for computer and accessories. There are 6 floors and most of the shops are selling IT related goods. Other than computers, there are a few shops selling photographic equipment too. Funan is more upmarket compare to Sim Lim Square.
Challenger superstore, one of the anchor tenants, who is a major homegrown IT store since 1984, occupying the top floor. The prices here are reasonable and competitive.
Harvey Norman, another electric and electronic superstore, is occupying the basement floor. If you are thinking of getting a camera or disc player, this is a good place to go shopping in Singapore.
Mustafa
Mustafa opens for 24 hours. You can almost find anything from Jewelry, clothing, electronic goods, computers, money changer, supermarket, textiles and travel booking all under one roof. The goods sold here is quite reasonable price.
