Singapore Sentosa offers a few star attractions (notably Underwater World) and Singapore's best beaches. However, the island is presently halfway through a multibillion construction program that will see Singapore's second casino and a Universal Studios theme park open in 2010.
Attractions
Dolphin Lagoon - You'll get to observe the highly intelligent Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins through a series of interactive, feeding and training sessions specially designed to demonstrate their natural ability of tail-walking synchronization. Lucky visitors might even score a peck on the cheek, or a chance to wade next to them, fully supervised by the trainers, of course.
Tiger Sky Tower - Singapore's tallest observatory tower offers panoramic views at 131 metres above sea level across Singapore, Sentosa, Southern Islands, right up to neighboring Malaysia and the Indonesian islands. The Tiger Sky Tower has a capacity of 72 in its enclosed, air-conditioned cabin. Day or night, views from the tower promise to be both scenic and breathtaking. Located adjacent to the Sentosa cable car station, the Tiger Sky Tower is a key point of interest and forms a distinctive landmark as it soars above the surrounding natural greenery.
Underwater World - The Underwater World oceanarium on Sentosa is home to more than 2,500 fishes from 250 different species. Start your tour with the Touch Pool for some 'hands on' experience with starfish, stingrays and if you dare, baby sharks. Then venture into the ocean depths via a moving travellator that ferries you through an 83-metre-long acrylic tunnel. All around you, sharks, stingrays, eels and schools of fish glide past - engrossed in their own world. For those who don't mind getting wet, interactive programmes such as 'Dive with the Sharks' or 'Dive with the Dugong' are available upon advance booking.
Songs of the Sea - Get ready to fall under the spell of a new nightly extravaganza set in the sea. Songs of the Sea brings you a mesmerizing show with a live cast and dramatic effects pyrotechnics, water jets, brilliant lasers, special computer imaging, captivating music and stunning flame bursts. It's a one-of-a-kind entertainment that's not to be missed. Songs of the Sea is an outdoor, rain or shine event.
Resorts World at Sentosa - A world-class family resort opening in 2010, is designed as a collection of resorts within a resort so visitors can have a multi-resort experience.
