The second Red Dot Design Museum was established in Singapore in November 2005. The museum is the anchor tenant and key attraction at the red dot traffic, a creative hub located at Maxwell Road, the former Singapore traffic Police Headquarters.
The museum displays the most unusal exhibition of contemporary design. All the products and concepts are winners from the Red Dot Design Awards, one of the world's leading and largest design competitions.
Now, the Red Dot Traffic, painted in bright red, is the creative centre of Singapore and the red dot museum is its main attraction. Apart from the museum, the Red Dot Traffic houses creative companies such as advertising agencies and design studios.
The Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore also offers the winners of the 'Red Dot Award: product design' the unique opportunity to present their prize-winning products to the Asian public at the Asian hub, in the heart of the booming city state of Singapore. The museum serves as a communication platform of these winning ideas and concepts to the public, consumers and industry.
