Overview
Merlion Park is located near Marina Bay, Singapore. This park is a popular Singapore tourist attraction. Two structures of the Merlion are located here and it is a major tourist attraction and a Singapore landmark

The park was first designed as an emblem for the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) in 1964, the lion head with a fish body resting on a crest of waves quickly became one of the well known images of Singapore. The Merlion is located adjacent to the famous hotel One Fullerton. Measuring 8.6 metres high and weighing 70 tonnes, the Merlion statue was built from cement fondue by the late Singapore craftsman, Mr Lim Nang Seng.
There are a total of 5 Merlions in Singapore. 2 of them located here. The other 3 of them are located at Mount Faber, Sentosa and Tourism Court.
