Marina Bay Sands is the first integrated resort that is targeted to open at the first quarter of 2010. It is also the Singapore's first casino which offers world class casino games. Lets have a first glance of what it offers besides a world class casino.
There are three iconic towers, each 55 storeys high, standing right at the waterfront of Marina Bay. The three towers will be connected with a 1 hectare sky park on the roof offering 360-degree view of Singapore's skyline with a garden, restaurants and a swimming pool at the sky park.
The convention and exhibition facilities blocks will be constructed in one of the block in front of the three 55 storey towers. It will consist of a modern exhibition hall which can accommodate around 2,000 exhibition booths. The convention centre will comprise of 250 meeting rooms with capacity for over 45,000 delegates. There will be a grand ballroom of more than 8,000 square meters with a seating capacity for 6,600.
There will be an Art and Science Museum in a shape of a lotus and its roof will be can be opened and closed, providing a waterfall through the roof of collected rainwater when close during the day. During the night, the roof will be opened and transformed into an amphitheartre, enthralling audiences with great light and laser shows and fireworks with the city in the background.
Marina Bay Sands will have a shopping arcade which promise to bring in leading edge retail with a mixture of European, American, Japanese and Korean brands that were never seen in Singapore before. There will be a canal flowing through the mall complete with boat rides, an indoor ice skating rink, restaurants and cafes in the mall which promise to deliver a brand new shopping experience in Singapore
There will be a world class Casino which will have up to 1,000 gaming tables and 1,400 slot machines. In addition to the Casino, there will be two state-of-the-art theatres with a total of about 4,000 seats with an impressive variety of international and local programmes that cater to a range of preferences.
